Hey everyone,
I have a birthday next week (37 yrs) and want to smoke a good cigar, and maybe spend a couple bucks more than my usual $7-10 range. I've asked this before on another website, but that is no longer around. Quite frankly, this forum is way better!
I prefer medium to full cigars. Medium to large gauge. Some of my favorites are listed in my introduction: http://www.botl.org/threads/hello-from-s-philly.78364/. Some that I hope to try are also listed.
So, what should I smoke?
Thanks!!

Any Padron Anniversary, I'm partial to the 1926.
HR by Cubanacan, I've never had one but hear great things
Opus X
Arturo Fuente Anejo
Any Red Label or Reserva Tatuaje, just re-read your intro
Or just grab something that you've never had before and something that you love to smoke then you know you won't be disappointed no matter what.

Not sure what your nearest shop carries but.... Any of the Tatuaje Cojonu, Reserva, or 2014 TAA if you can get them. Fuente God of Fire would also be a good call but most shops don't get them. Of course a Pardon 1926 maduro is never a bad choice. And while Ive yet to smoke one Ive heard great things about the La Aroma de Cuba Noblesse.

I smoked a Cojonu 2012 maduro recently and it was excellent and did not break the wallet.
For my special event stick, I usually reach for a Padron 45th maduro or an 80th maduro. Depending on the area, you may have to shell out up to $30.

As for with whom I will smoke, easy. The guys at the B&M down my block!

Padron 1926, a good Tatuaje, LP would be good. DE Undercrowns are nice, but won't break the bank.

I've got my 30th coming up on the 20th this month, so I'm in the same boat. A lot is going to depend on the weather, but I've got an Opus X Petit Lancero that I bought back in 2007, or a CAO Sopranos The Boss that my wife bought me in 2005 when we were still dating. I may not have time though, we're going to a local brewery for drinks and dinner with a bunch of friends, and then going back to our house and playing beer pong. The challenge will be to stay awake and sober enough that I can enjoy a cigar, and hopefully it won't be freezing. I may tell her that she has to let me smoke in the house since it's my 30th.

I fell in love with the OpusX Power Ranger & am 1/2 way through the OpusX Destino al Siglo lancero. These are amazing!
Diamond Crown Julius Cesear
None of them are full to me but a solid medium. And taste wonderful.

Davidoff Nicaragua. Just a special, incredibly well-balanced medium stick. Very elegant. About $15-16 for a toro.

Although, there's a lot to be said for just smokin one of your favorites. It's YOUR day, after all! (and happy b-day, by the way!)

Happy early birthday a few days early! Enjoy your smoke!
You too brother! Hope you find a smoke that puts a the cherry on top of the bday celebration. If you dont have anything dying to be smoked in the humi LP's always seem to be my celebration smoke. Mainly because my local B&M has a great selection how hard to find LP's. If you can find one you havnt puffed yet jump on it.

Picked up a Padron 3000 today (I'm on a budget) and am considering toasting that on Tuesday!
That could change though, the Leaf by Oscar is only $9 at the local B&M...
