BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

@apnutter : doing this stuff originated in the Navy as fancy work, and the bracelets that everyone wants came from special forces I love that stuff been tying knots for years. if you want some help and some ideas there is a book called "The Marline Spike Sailor", great book and i used it myself once upon a time. here is a couple things that book taught me. highly recommended. i always had my sailors read that book.

LOL pipe lanyard has a different meaning in the Navy its how we hold our BOSUNS pipe to make announcements to the ship,

Love it....I have about 24 different watches and when I see a watch that has something "different" about it I tend to purchase them. Watch bands can make an ordinary watch stand out and this is one of those times where a pic is worth a 1000 words. Got this watch a month ago and love the band plus the other one to swap out. Here is my current collection of watches....do I need more....I think I do!

I used to make all sorts of stuff out of paracord when I was in the Army. Considering my job was basically to walk somewhere in the woods and then sit still and hide until the commander wanted me hiding somewhere else, it gave me a lot of time to do stuff like that.
I still have a knife in my big tool box that I used to take to the field that has the handle wrapped, the sheath wrapped, and like an eight foot braided dummy cord on it. About all I ever used it for was opening MRE's, but my 13 year old son sure thinks it's cool. He's always looking for a reason to swipe it.

It's a grip and allows for storage of extra paracord for survival
It's easy to remove the rubber and do it yourself.
