Since I haven't really been smoking alot lately I have not really been inclined to buy a decent cutter.

However, I did find an old straight razor at a thrift shop that I have managed to bring to a "razors edge", (forgive the pun).

That seems to work well enough seeing as how I normally smoke on my porch. In the event I am somewhere other than my porch, I find that the hotel bar that sells cigars has a punch and a decent cutter in the humidor, and if I am at another smokers house, they have suitable instruments for taking the end off of a cigar.

I've got a SAK, Palio and a punch tool. The punch has been getting the most use lately ... followed by the Palio and SAK (which get about the same use).

Was hooked on my palio until I started using a SAK.

And now I no longer cut myself while closing it - it requires a bit of coordination.

I've never owned a SAK...or any other higher end cutter for that matter.

I've always used the cheap bullet cutters or cheapie guillotines. I've heard good things about Palio and Xikar though.
