Hmm. That makes me wonder. Some of the stuff that's been so good fresh this last year, is there a chance that it won't be as good for long term aging as it typically would?
The H&F were rolled in 2012, Jeremy, so I don't think you can draw any assumptions about recent production from them. Have a had stuff that was awesome ROTT and went downhill and never got as good again? Yes...the '07 Por Larranaga Robusto ELs are the first thing to come to mind. But is that typical or even common? Not in my experience.

What's the code on the Winston Tom?
It was a gift, Jeremy, but I was going to inquire anyway since it was so much better than the other recent SWs I have smoked. I'll let you know if I find out.

Yeah, lighter wrappers are pretty, but sticks like this make me wonder if the tendency is to put too much focus on wrapper, especially lighter ones, because that's what we can see.
Surely the quality and batches of filler play a big role. It would certainly seem to have in this case. Thing was utterly delicious from the get go, ETP 16 I think. Did start to taste a little young in the second half but still really good.
I dunno, maybe the Boli blends are just so good to me, that they're still great across a wide range of variations. Or wrappers can still be really delicious even when not gorgeously light and thin.
I just don't know what to think anymore... ;)

Keep those thoughts to yourself, Jeremy. There is a vendor whose entire business model is getting you to buy from a tier system based entirely upon the look of the wrappers

Hahahaha! You know I suck at keeping my mouth shut... ;) Seems like he also manages to somehow get a premium on wrappers that would generally be considered less desirable by many... Genius!
