This afternoon I opened a jar of Peter Stokkebye LTF that's been unopened for about a year and dated 9/17. Super sweet tin aroma. Smoking in a Savinelli bent billiard, it's mild, slightly sweet and grassy, not bad, but not a favorite. I have to watch my cadence or it bites me a little bit. I'm thinking that it might be a base for an experimental mix, maybe add some Burley, oriental, Latakia or?

I liked the twist flake a lot at first, but I've come to really prefer the Navy Flake.

Well, I got sick after Christmas and it really threw my palate for a loop.

Nothing was tasting right.

Strangely the thing that tasted best was something I don't particularly care for, which was Missouri Pride.

Finally started to get some normalcy a week ago and englishes started tasting like they should again, so I've been having some Dunhill standard mix mellow, which I'm preferring even over the c&d smooth English lately.

And pre Christmas I'd gotten to where I was much preferring va/pers over all, but lately they seem a bit too sweet and the aftertaste just sticks with me for a while.

At this point nothing seems to be hitting the spot just right, but "old Dark fired" and "storm front" have been taking the lead and coming closest.

Had some full Virginia flake thanks to @BigSkySmoke earlier, which is really tasty.
