Not too sure on that one. I cook my pork well done so I personally wouldn’t worry about much of anything. The southern states don’t get a heck of a lot of cool weather anyhow and those boys eat the heck outta wild hogs

The females taste better across most animal types. The meat in males tends to be tougher and more "wild" tasting.

Have had several boars that smelled like urine immediately upon butchering them and didn't end up tasting much better.
