Today's Bourbon

Grabbed a couple local picks yesterday, a backup to my Binny's WFB and a Garfield's Russell's pick.

Opened the RR and it is good, but not as good as the Binny's RR picks I got last month.

And Booker's 2023-03 arrived in Illinois, Mighty Fine Batch.

I already tried it yesterday at a store's bar, and 2 will be my full allotment of this batch. Good but not great.

I found the latest Gatsby release from Remus yesterday at retail, 15 year MGP juice.

Stagg was my pour last night.

I went to the grocery store yesterday to get some fruit. Like I always do, checked out the bourbon. I guess that they're hiding single bottles on the shelves as I had found an Eagle Rare 375 ml single barrel pick a couple weeks ago. I went in yesterday and found bottle of Weller 12 hiding amongst the Scotches. At $39, it was a happy surprise.

Last night a little Russell's Reserve single barrel.

One of the stores I shop at (Jewel-Osco) has really stepped up their bourbon game at their store closest to me, Carlos. Looks like I need to pop in even more often if they're going to start putting (semi)-allocated stuff on the shelves.
