Title says it all, folks!!!
What are your most prized non-Cuban cigars you own? Anybody got some real gems out there? It's amazing how much NCs improve with age, and we tend to smoke them fresh. But even a couple years makes sticks fabulous. My favorite examples are Partagas Blacks. Put three years on those suckers and they're the creamiest smokes in the world!

Here's the old/rare stuff I've got:

  • 1970's Joya de Nicaragua. Got this in a trade from my boss. Very cool old green/white-ish band. Lonsdale size!
  • Late-1980's/early-1990's Fuente Hemingway Classic. Looks absolutely fantastic!
  • Partagas 150. This is one of those sticks I'll have to find a real damn good reason to smoke!
  • Tatuaje Noellas Reservas. I was lucky enough to find a whole box of these! They're about a year and a half old right now. I have one of 237(?) boxes produced. I smoked a single I had about a month and a half ago and they are phenomenal. Darkest, oiliest, most plume-covered cigars I own.
That's about the rarest I've got. What treasures do you guys have lurking in those humis?

I've got a HdM that's at least 30 years old. My brother found it at his local and the owner said it was definitely older than him (he's 32). It gives a new meaning to pee yellow cello. Best part, he charger em $3, the price of generic cigars they got hanging around.

Rare, I have a CF 10th, Tat Maravilla, Hemi SG, Drapers Cien Anos Prefereidos, WCD 120, Noellas Reseve, Sand Shark off the top of my head.

Best I got is two boxes of Torano 2003 Tribute both not smoked out of. One each torpedo and churchill. Other than that my box of DPG Blue Lanceros that's on it's way, or the Tat Black jar when ever they're released. I don't have anything that's even close to considered old. I just actually started collecting this past year, I used to just buy to smoke the last 6 years. So maybe when I'm 40 I'll have some old shit.

Nice so far guys! Haven't had a Sand Shark or a Hemi SG. Those are smokes to respect.
And Adam, one of the most surprisingly awesome smokes I've ever had was a Torano Virtuoso from '04. Just smoked it a week or so ago. It was gifted to me by a fine brother, I think Tedski(?). Anyway, I was so shocked at how great this cigar was that I almost bought a box that day to set down for a few years.

My best would be the don carlos edicion de anniversario double robustos.

dc maximus stanfords 90th.

Got a couple 2 yr old opus and a few Pad 1926 No9 that will surely be resting for quite a few years.

I got little aged but plenty others with serious aging potential...which is my plan.

Let's start this thread again in 10 years and see what i've got then.

I might drop the bones for a box of those puppies.
i bought a box of these in madouro (well 7 of the 8 sticks) and i have not been satisfied to be honest. I would just buy the 40ths, much better imho....

But if you are going to get a box i know a place that usually has them in stock for around 225 a box, PM if you want the details.

I hear the 80th will need more time. I am hoping to keep mine for new years eve at the earliest. Maybe a couple of years from now.

Man, I've got nothing on you guys in terms of NC HTF's and Rares. Oldest NC's I've got are at most a couple years old, and the rarest stuff I have is probably 858 Sungrown or Hemi maduro. I don't even know if those even count. ;) The other question we should ask is what is the rarest NC you've smoked? That would be pretty cool too.

I have one of those stubby little Tatuaje cigars left. I don't remember what they were called. They are like 4 inches maybe but a robusto sized ring. I guess kinda like the Nub.

Some online cigar store was selling them as an exclusive but I don't think they make them anymore.

Halon I had a box of the 04s as well but I couldn't keep out of them at the time and smoked them all. I wish I saved one of the second bands with the year on it but I did not. Oh well though. I love Torano stuff, and will be breaking into the 03s for my wedding in November. I'm looking forward to it.

Matt I'll PM you next month sometime probably. I have myself really budgeted right now I'm putting $1000+ into savings so when I get out of the USAF and I don't have a job I have money to use for a little while till I'm employed again.
