i'm gonna have to dig one out of the depth of my humi and give it a go again. I've got a few #1s and don't quite remember the first one. I don't smoke a whole lot of maduros, so i'm not certain what's good from great. i know bad, and this aint it!

I love these man! My B&M keeps these right next to the register so every time I check out I end up grabing another handful to add to the humi. I've had the #2 and I think the #5 (a real short cigar) and they were both fantastic. I'll end up buying a box or two eventually.

IMO...

The Corojo-wrapped Tatuaje is extremely bold and spicy with heavy black pepper notes, while the Connecticut Broadleaf wrapped La Riqueza has very little of that kind of heavy pepper and spice, instead providing a thick, rich earthy flavor.

In addition, I'd say that the Tatuaje is more flavorful in the back-of-the-throat and through the nose, whereas the La Riqueza delivers more of its flavors on the tongue.

BUT...

Don't quote me on that because I haven't done a formal sit-down review of the La Riqueza yet, so I could easily change my mind about those kind of details later. :smokingbo
Thanks for the info.

I agree, out of the La Riq. line, the No. 3 is my favorite. No. 2 is a close second. These have become a favorite lunch-time smoke at one of my local shops, around 12:00-2:00 everyone has one.

I've had the #2 and I thought it was good but not great (which shames me to say, as I like most everything that Pete does). I always seem to run into burn issues with the #2.

Maybe I need to try another size...

Are these THAT good?? Not that I would be surprised, I have liked everything I have tried that Pete's produced. Just curious is all.

So, how do these compare to Tatuaje?

I have yet to bump into a Tat that I don't like. But this whole line is great. My opinion. You should grab a sampler from Big Easy or New Havana. These boys have all the shit and would take care of you very well. Check the beginning of the post. I beleive it will enlighten you.

I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth and tasty this cigar was. You will not be bummed you bought them.

If my memory serves me correctly the No.1 rocked out a 91 in the CA I got this afternoon. I don't judge my smokes by CA ratings, but many use it as a guideline for trying new sticks, so if that is any indication... there you go.

My favorite is the round cabinet number 5, but to each his own, right?
