No matter what you think of Brock Lesnar as a person, you have to admit he is the real deal as a fighter. He learned alot from the first fight with Mir and he came this time with a great game plan. I hope he can keep all that rage and anger focused on MMA fighting. If he doesn`t he`ll end up just like Mike Tyson.

I really don't feel like he is the real deal at all. He is without a doubt one dimensional. The only reason it's so hard to fight him is because of his ridiculous strength.

Each fighter has pros/cons. Gotta use your strength and weight to your advantage and he did that last night.

With his wrestling (NCAA not WWE) backround his takedown skills are great. He has proven that he is also a very powerful striker. Now by defeating Mir who is one of the very best submission fighters around by taking Mir to the ground and basically smothering his guard and pounding him silly. I don`t see how he cannot be given some respect in the octagon. Did you see the GSP vs Alves fight? GSP gave up about 20lbs and was not nearly as strong as Alves but still won every round. Thats why I enjoy MMA, it`s not always about bigger and stronger it takes several skills to win consistantly.

Lesnar's comments after the fight....

"I love it!" Lesnar said to a chorus of boos from the sold out crowd, which evidently didn't appreciate his decision to celebrate his win by taunting Mir in the Octagon after the stoppage. "Frank Mir had a horseshoe up his ass, I told him that a year ago. I pulled that SOB out and beat him over the head with it."

I had picked Bisbing to win.... but that KO made it all worth the $50 for the PPV! Best KO Ive seen since the Anderson Silva's one-legged, flying knee!

All in all, I thought all the fighters came in shredded and well conditioned... no one seemed gassed at all, The GEP fight was very boring, typical GSP title defense. The Lesnar/Mir fight was just how I expected it. I thought Mir got lucky the first fight and with the few fight Lesnar has under his belt, I didnt think it would happen again. Lesnar will keep winning fights, but when he is beaten, it will not be pretty.

With the upcoming season of TUF, I think Dana has jumped the Shark by inviting Kimbo to join the fighters, however it makes for good television.

Go Team Jackson!

Wouldn't you like to know?
I don't really thinkMir beating lesner was luck. I think he was the best fighter to beat him. He is the best submission fighter in the heavy weight division and at the time the only one with a chance to beat him. What I really think it did was open Lesners eyes to his weeknesses, that he then worked on. I think that his wrestling, power and weight create a whole new challenge. I think Royce Gracie shook up the sport enough that no one is going be able go up 3 weight classes and win. I think that Lesneer is the only fighter out there that has to make weight to fight in the heavy weight class. Almost makes you think they need to break up the heavy weights to tighten the division a little.

If Lesnar keeps training to improve his ground game particularly his submission defense, I think he will be champ for quite awhile. Like I said before though his problem may be staying out of trouble outside of the octagon. I`m sure there is more than one dumbass in this world willing to taunt Lesnar into kicking his ass for the 15 min of fame and some $$$. After last nights post fight antics I really don`t think Lesnars strengh lies in controlling his anger.
