  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

So after much debate and research, I placed my very first order on November 19. Shortly thereafter, I began reading about confiscations and then about the big Chicago massacre. I resigned myself to receiving an empty box with an official letter inside. Today, I got home and found a box by my front door; took a look at the package and noticed it had not been opened in anyway. I am still thinking that I will find nothing but a letter inside. But lo and behold, when I opened the box, I found the 10 cigars I had ordered !!!! Holy crap, I couldn't believe it. The cigars actually made it !!!!! So if you have been waiting for an order and thinking that you are not getting it, don't give up hope, you may still get surprised !!!!

Here are some pics. For the more experienced brothers, I would appreciate any comments about the cigars, i.e. do the band look authentic, etc. Thanks

Wow...What happened to those Boli's?
Yeah, I was wondering that too. Looks like they got dried out and re-humidified. I've had cigars that look rough like that and ended up tasting great, so it's probably not worth worrying about though.

Just very dehydrated from such a long trip (been in the mail for a month and a half)... think of the difference between steak and beef jerky. They're recoverable with some patience to let them rest in the humi at proper levels.

Cheers!
I've seen that countless times, but this looks different.

Maybe it's my monitor, but it looks like little channels kinda carved out in the wrapper...

I'm sure they'll be just fine.

If your purchase came from a legitiment/reputable dealer the question of "authentic bands" would not be a question I would be asking.

I'm with Clint on this one, those Boli's look like they are more than just dehydrated, they look like they have been "wet" to me.

I carefully inspected the wrapper and there are no tears or anything like that. They were vaccum packed very very tighly so I am sure there is nothing other than that. We will see after a few weeks in the humi.

Congrats and that's a nice selection of smokes you got there. Let us know how you like them.
