Chuck is right get the MiBox from Walmart it used the Android market just like your phone so it updates easily.
So what does this get you with Kodi? Can I get live sports games...? Can I get most cable channels? I have a PS4, can I just get Kodi installed on that? Trying to understand the advantage to getting one of these boxes.

The advantage is it's easy and you don't have to side load it from a third party market and it being from Google Play you're guaranteed updates. You can get anything you get on the firestick or on PC for Kodi.

thanks, using Kodi can I get ESPN and other sports channels?
Ill make it simple Tewbs..

Kodi is great for PPV, NFL, MLB, Hockey passes. Great to stream games and movies and tv shows. As far as live tv goes... its not the best but it works. Some channels stream well but they won't be in HD.

So if you really need to watch ESPN or Fox News or Lifetime religiously without interruptions... you won't enjoy it.

I can't help but I'll cheer you on. I recently fired Direct TV and am now using a digital antenna combined with Netflix and Amazon Prime. :)
We're getting 14 channels with the antenna.
We just got a digital antenna too. We're getting like 45 channels with it including the major network channels for sports. Couple that with hulu, netflix, amazon prime, hbo go, it's still cheaper than my basic cable and i get so much more.

Dang, 45 channels is pretty good. I guess that's the difference between Southern California and Fumbuc. :D

I'd love to go strictly streaming and ditch Directv, but I'm too much of a sports nut to do it. I have Sunday Ticket during NFL season and I watch a lot of other live sports. But I won't ditch Sunday Ticket so I'm stuck with Directv. :(

Too many trees at my new house for any satellite tv and cable prices here are ridiculous. Would any of these devices allow me to stream bbc America and hbo. Those are the only channels I really watch on tv that aren't local. I stream everything else on Netflix or hulu. Trying not to miss the new season of GoT and Doctor Who.

Recently got a Firestick with Kodi, wish I had done it sooner.

To the poster above me, I did see BBC HBO on the list of networks available but personally haven't watched them. HBO does offer a stand-alone streaming option too that I had used previously for a cheap price.
