I'll YouTube it lol. I know you are talking about coffee, but good lord that is a hell of a process for a cup of joe lol
Let me put it like this.
I usually have my coffee with lots of sugar and half and half.
The cup @VeLoRoK made for me was so smooth, rich, and complex I enjoyed it black!
These guys are artists, and know much more than I ever will!
Locally fresh roasted beans and a pour over is where I am now.
Surprisingly simple for a much better cup.

If you all have farmers markets around you a lot of local coffee places usually do pour overs at them if you wanna cheat the system. Unfortunately around here most "coffee shops" just set up a bunn and call it a day and buy from local roasters.

Artisan coffee in akron. Fantastic small family buisness that treats their employs well. They started selling pour overs at our local farmers market and slowly got to know the guys. Eventually visited the store which is a little hipstery for my taste but they have good food and the coffee they roast is fantastic.

My Black Dog order came in, drinking it this morning, quite bitter had to add a sweetener, maybe my palate has changed like cigars and I prefer the medium road over dark roasts.

And I made with the French press that @Unpossible_1 and his wife got me for my bday.

This is just me, but anytime a coffee company is words like "dark" or "black" I'm pretty sure it ain't gonna match up with me. Not saying it's bad, just saying. Also, FWIW, the quality of beans is typically much poorer when doing a dark roast. Start bad, make worse, since you wouldn't notice good quality anyway once it tastes like charcoal.

Exactly this. Plus, with a dark roast you are typically going to lose anything special or any nuance the bean would have had to begin with. If you enjoy drinking charcoal water, sure but you can miss me with that

So basically you gentlemen are saying what I pretty much figured, medium roasts = more flavor and nuances? Lesson learned, but this is a full bag, not going to pitch it or anything, going to experiment more with it.
