• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Dirty Rat...Old vs. New

I'm sure JD can speak more to this...but my understanding from John Brook is that the blend didn't change at least six months before the show from the samples that were being handed out... he had no idea if/how many times Steve changed it before... That being said... the wrappers definitely...

So who here remembers El Sublimado?

Javier's Mexican Restaurant in Dallas is currently the only place... I'm not actually sure if there's any in there currently though. To my understanding, they're trying to get back some distribution by the end of the year, but I'm not sure how that will work. I'll post info once I know more.

Name a cigar with a bad wrap that...

Yeah... the last board I was on members were giving the nipple thing crap, despite not smoking it. I'm still partial to the original, but they are damn good cigars.

Name a cigar with a bad wrap that...

Nording, Berger & Argenti Entubar (apparently people think it's a gimmick), Perdomo Lot 23 Maduro, ermmmm... that's all I can think of.

    Help....Hygrometer????

I assume you are talking about hygrometer... I tried to think of why a hydrometer would be needed for cigars and I couldn't really find a reason. Most of the stuff advertised towards cigar smokers is consumer grade. If you want a real accurate hygrometer you have to go the scientific route...

    Cooked Cigars?

You wouldn't cook the cigar together. You could however cook all of the leafs and then roll. Remember, true Maduro isn't really used. The only places that grow actual Maduro per say are the San Andreas Valley in Mexico (oddly Pepin's next big interest) and Costa Rica. Most "Maduro" is either...
