• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Dead Cutter

Yeah. Stay away from water and stick with alcohol. Always good advice, whether we're talking about cutters or not... :halfgrinw

    First Order Arived

I always give a new humidor a good few (3-5) days to soak up the humidity and stabilize. A lot depends on the climate where you are and where the humidor has been. Also, some folks wipe down the interior of the humidor with a clean white cloth that has been dampened with distilled water, while...

    Lampe Berger

I saw a thread about these somewhere, some time in the last year. The general sense was that the people who had them seemed to like them.

    Flying with a Torch Lighter

I put the $3-5 Ronson Jet-Lite in the DOT-approved Otter Box carrier designed for Zippos (it fits perfectly) in my packed luggage. I have never had a problem yet, and I fly about once a month. However, I pack the Ronson instead of my Dupont or even one of my Zippos with butane imports, just in...

    European Cigar Cult Journal

I would have been glad to help you out, but I tossed my copy. 'Nough said? It was just too oriented to the European cigar smoker to be of interest to me. I shouldn't have been surprised by that, but it just wasn't a good fit with my interests.

    Pepin opinions?

I like most Pepins, but I don't like peppery cigars, so I definitely prefer the Blue over the Black. Many folks feel the opposite. I guess that's why he makes both... :smokingbo

    Cigar Caddy market research

FWIW, I wouldn't trade the reduction in capacity for the increase in tray quality. JMO.

    Fuente Anejo

If you have the discipline to put some Anejos away for a year, preferably two, your patience will be more than fairly rewarded.

    Breakfast Anyone?

Well, I always eat breakfast before smoking, so I pretty much smoke anything I feel like in the A.M. without paying attention to strength. Of course, I usually won't start the day with a JDN Antano or LFD Double Ligero. Other than that, it's whatever I grab from the humidor or dealer shelf and...

    Joya De Nic Antano

Yup. I like the strength of the Antanos just fine, but they are much more peppery than I prefer. The Celebracions are a nice compromise.

    Cigar Smoking??

Coronas are fairly small cigars and, IME, only last about 45 minutes or so. The rule of thumb is to take a puff about once a minute. If you want your cigar to last longer, try smoking bigger cigars.
