• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Roach-Klip: H. Upmann Half Corona

I too am excited about these but the only issue I have is that it sounds like the pricing may not come into place as we would hope. Fear is that they will more then other larger sizes of the same Marca. If these come in at the right price I do love the size Posted via Mobile Device

    Roach-Klip: Partagas Serie E No. 2

Great review. I am interested to see how these turn out I have set aside my final pack of these to try in a few years. I tried one in Havana and it seemed young and harsh to me. Glad they are starting to come around. Think it may be opposite to what you were thinking and these may just be...

    Opus X Perfecxion #5

I know many don't like them fresh but I love all opus so would say if you can find them they can still be a great smoke young but will get better. If you find a shop selling them at fair prices they should be right around $10 so not really expensive either Posted via Mobile Device

    What are your daily smokes?

Remember as well that just because a cigar is expensive in your local it doesn't mean they are gouging. They have taxes to deal with that online guys won't have to deal with as well they cannot survive on the slimmer margains that the big online guys do. Also most B&M's don't have the buying...

    My Father Davidoff Belicosos

I also don't like the loose draw on most padrons either so maybe it is more an issue about me then the construction. I smoke mostly CC's and while I am doubtfull that there is more tobacco in them then Pepin's sticks they do usually have a tighter draw. It may not be an issue for most but it...

    My Father Davidoff Belicosos

I completely agree and I am not a Davi fan. I find many sticks made at the My Father factory seem under filled with too loose of draws. One of the few times I use a punch instead of a cutter just to restrict the draw. They may not be underfilled but many do draw to easily for my liking...

UFC 129 GSP v. Shields - Who you have?

By politics I think he means GSP stepping up into a title fight when he shouldn't be considered, not having fought in that weight class before. Possibly some of the same issues I discussed as I think it would be a massacre.

UFC 129 GSP v. Shields - Who you have?

I think that would be an ugly fight. I think that GSP is at the top of his class but not sure how he would fare moving up. I think that Silva is dominant to the point of lazy lately in his weight class. His fights haven't always been great lately but I dont think he is trying as hard and is...

    Some OLD whiskey and tequila!

Well the Sauza is the one that would interest me more. It would predate my best guess at when the rot gut tequila started pouring out of Mexico. And being a comemerative bottle it may have been something special at the time. Not sure if either has any great value for resale but you never know...

    What is your flavor/strength preference?

I completely agree Craig. I have cigars that fall into most of the categories listed and will enjoy each of them at different times. Posted via Mobile Device

    Best Cutters?

I think there are many answers to this. I depends what kind of cutter you prefer. I have a xikar which while it cuts well I am not a fan of the narrow grip design of it. I do like my Palio as well it cuts beautifully and I do like the more traditional feel of the cutter. I think my favourite...

San Cristobal Cigars to Get Rid of 3 Vitolas Soon

Thought this was old news? The article doesn't really even touch on the facts that they are refreshing all of the LCDH cigars. The article implys that they are being cancelled do to poor sales but these were cancelled with the gold medal which was by my best guess a great seller. I have not...

    Cohiba Behike size preference?

Pre release the 56 was my favourite. I haven't tried too many of the recent ones other then the 52's. I smoked close to 20 of them in Havana this year and loved every one. Posted via Mobile Device

    Cigars in drawers or boxes?

I store mostly in boxes but put them into trays or drawers once I get a bit past half way through the box. Main thing for me is once you pass a thousand cigars it is easier to keep track and find stuff. I don't buy too many singles and usually try smoke them sooner then later. I think long...

    Straight OTB or age em?

For me it would be if you are getting singles then let them rest to settle from the trip then smoke em. I don't age singles really and think that yu really need to know if the sticks fit your profile enough to bother aging. All CC's can benefit from age but if you are not storing a lot of...

    Monster Series Cancelled

If there is a Davidoff deal my guess would be distribution outside of the US. Davidoff seems to have more brand presence outside of the US then all other NC's. I think it would be a good thing. But who know could just be rumour mill. Posted via Mobile Device

    I've been sucked in...

Biggest problem for me with things like cbid is you end up filling your Humi with stuff you are buying just because it is cheap. I started that way then had to give a ton of cigars to friends to make room for the stuff I actually wanted to age. Quantity is exciting in the beginning but quickly...
