• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    When in Rome?

I did check out quite a few wine shops. Ended up coming home with 2 Barolo's and 2 amarone's on Your recomendation. I am not a really big wine drinker but figured it is always nice to have some good wine around the house. I did end up enjoying quite a bit of wine well there so who knows...

    When in Rome?

I know that a lot of the online retailers charge quite a bit for some of those smokes but I will be back in Havana in Feb and they are really cheap there. I should have picked up quite a few more culebras in Havana as they are only $21 for a box of 3 coffins. I think I just get a little...

    When in Rome?

So I figured I missed this so would do a final update on the state of cigars in Rome. End result alot of digging and little reward. Not to say that I never found any thing good but the way they have their stores set up sucks. They have to have a lisence to sell tobacco so there is always a...

    Well, It's Official...

We have had rumours of such things happening in Canada but still haven't had them come true yet. The funniest thing is that most of the people that smoke cloves from our store are older. 25 seems to be about the youngest I have seen buying them. I think the rules they are looking at imposing...

    Upcoming Birth cigar advice needed

My answer would be buy whatever you enjoy. Don't buy a box if you have never tried it as it may not fit you flavour profile.

pulled the trigger, as it were.

So was there 6 months of paperwork involved? Have to go through for the prohibited weapons license? Agree that it will be stored dissassembled under lock and key? Agree thar under no circumstances was it alright to defend yourself with it? Ok maybe thats just Canada. Hope you enjoy it...

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

Well it is quite simple to find basic good smokes in Roma so I had a Hoyo petite robusto first off. Very good cigar. Found something a little more rare in the new 09 RyJ EL. Not a bad cigar but not spectacular by any means. I look forward my next petite robusto long before I have another one...

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

Started off the the day thinking I wasn't smoking as I never brought enough cigars with me so I am almost out. But I found in a small store a cigar I had never tried before, partly because didn't have a real interest in it, a Davidoff Diademas Finos. You could tell after the firs puff that it...

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

Started off with a Frank for the Pantheon and then tried a few of the Italian toscano's looking for a native smoke to try. The Antica reserva's are the best so far. It is late in the day already is no one else smoking? Or just not posting?

The cigar that is your standard to judge all cigars

You can get punch and flare out of a cc, you just have to ask your roller to bump up the ligero. Hamlet offered to make me some full ligeo cigars, I really should have tried but his blend was just sooo goood as is was that I wasn't will to f with it.

The cigar that is your standard to judge all cigars

For fresh cigars non-aged cigars my stand by these days is petite edmundo's. For aged I am going with Sancho Panza Belicoso's. Most peopple don't even look at them so they can be found very nicely aged fairly regularly.

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

Started off the morning with a Anejo 77 shark. After some Carbonera and a half bottle of wine with lunch went to the Coloseum and had a gladiator worthy BBMF. What about the rest of you?
