I've said this before - but this is just a reminder. I'll be breaking BOTL over time in order to get it into a far better place. Just be patient if you can't reach us! We'll be back
86 and 88?? Sheesh, I'm getting old. You know, this thread has made me think about something. My birth year is '71. Isn't that the year the embargo was started?
I don't know if my head can hold up to "getting used to the ergonomics"  . Even when I first started shaving my head I never cut myself like this.
Yeah the first time me and the Cap'n butted heads, I knew it was all over. Started out with coke and cubes, but now a guy damn near drinks it straight. I switched to gin when I startedgetting immune to smaller amounts of mix.

40+ years of backcountry. I felt the same way until I hit 60 when the recovery time from sleeping on the ground in a wet tent startedgetting longer then the vacation.
Finally.
Now I feel bad for evading Jay's missiles. Either cheated him out of the pleasure or absolved him of the guilt of getting me started... ;) Sorry man.
i like the old bands.
i didn't know about this whole Patel thing... i just startedgetting into these, and i hope they don't change the actual cigar along with the bands!
I'm getting married in June and already bought one so it could age a bit. Our reception and ceremony is outside. I will be lighting one up while the party is gettingstarted. Good choice.
Never read the book, but I just started watching season 1 a few nights ago. I'm enjoying it. Been on my list to watch for a long time. Just now getting to it.
A recent post by smoking pipes is a great resource for gettingstarted, primarily packing a bowl and lighting:

Hi Mitch!
I thought it was tough getting cigars in Sydney let alone Kalgoorlie! I used to work around WA when I started flying and it's definitely some pretty country up there.
Welcome!
I liked them enough a couple of years ago to end up getting 2 bundles of coronas. Really good cigar but I shy'ed away from them when the started showing up at CI
Thanks for the quick review. I have started the transition myself. I was once able to smoke anything and enjoy it. Now I am getting more selective on what I choose.
Thanks again.
Welcome and don't hod it against him that he is friends with me. He is just gettingstarted just gave him a 150 ct humi and some sticks he is familiar with.
Welcome
damn... this already makes me regret selling my bike last fall! i've already started looking for a new one since the weather has been SOMEWHAT nicer. good job getting out this early wade!
I had sort of the same issue with my jarmidor. I had a 70% gel stick in there and once it startedgetting filled with sticks (funny how that happens around here :scratchhe) I started having an issue with higher humidity. I'd take out the gel and it'd stay pretty steady around 67%.

...but in a whole new ballgame.
When I first started cycling, I was blessed with relatively flat conditions in an urban environment. It was pretty easy to hop on, and build strength on the flat roads by just messing with the gear-ratio. Then the kids came, work got intense, and hours changed...
