• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Don Carlos Edicion de Aniversario Double Robusto

Out of my price range, will have to chock it up to one I won't be trying. I will pay that for a Padron, but I just don't trust Fuente that much.

    Camcorders 2.0

Actually, I would be quite interested to hear what others have to say on this as well. With my first little one on the way, I'm in the market to buy a camcorder. Also looking for everything listed.

    Paquiao fight

That's why I stick to MMA. Boxing just doesn't do it for me anymore, then things like this happen and you get the feeling that it's all a show with the winner chosen before the fight even begins. I competed in MMA several years ago, and I guarantee you that's real.

*shivers* Sorry Dan, I hate bugs, lol. Yet... I went into a thread with pics of them. Kind of like watching a scary movie, lol.

To freeze or not to freeze?

Correct, but as I posted earlier, ordering cigars that are infested during winter could in fact condition the bugs to the level that they did in this experiment. The chances are extremely small, but even if it's 1%, that is still a 1% chance that the bugs aren't dead. :(

Dry Boxing in a Humid Climate

Dry boxing is putting the cigars in an unhumidified box for a specific amount of time. Each cigar requiring a different amount of dry box time, and some requiring none at all. It's really something you have to play with to see if it helps a specific cigar, or with that specific cigar you're...

    09 Alfonso Robusto custom roll

Great review, Art, have fun at the party, heh. Interesting, I would have pegged it for older than '09 from the sound of your review. Makes me wonder how much age the tobacco had on it as well.

To freeze or not to freeze?

Read the rest of the article... some of the staged larvae require over a two weeks for 100% mortality rate. Which also doesn't take into account the insulation of a cigar and time required to bring the complete cigar down to that temperature. Sure, if you guys want to take info on how long...

    Washington State Members

King County Council members are at it again! I got this e-mail from Rain City a couple of days ago - As if the total indoor smoking ban is not draconian enough, the King County Council now wants to ban all tobacco use (cigarettes, cigars, pipes & chewing tobacco) in all King County parks...

To freeze or not to freeze?

Lol, we all do. I read several articles concerning extreme cold in nature. One was pertaining to beetle problems in Montana, and the inability of the prolonged cold to kill the larvae.

To freeze or not to freeze?

Also, according to the above information, putting the cigars in a refrigerator for a period of time before the freezer actually multiplies the insects ability to survive the impending cold by several times, the freezing MUST be sudden. I would even surmise to say that cigars ordered during the...

To freeze or not to freeze?

These aren't my articles, I was referring to my comments in another thread concerning the lack of science within cigars. Within that thread, it pertained to the aging and storage of cigars and the differences pertaining to their size. (ie. Do large RG cigars age better than small rg.) Here...

To freeze or not to freeze?

That's because 99.99% of people freezing are just wasting their time. It must either be frozen at an EXTREME level of cold, one that would require a commercial level freezer to reach, and even those often aren't designed for that. Or, they must be left within the freezer for an extended amount...
