• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Beer O da day!

"brett flavor" huh?....is that the sorda almost wild flower taste I get in this? Not sure if that's the best explanation..but that's the first thing that comes to mind anyway...lol. It's good, and I enjoy it. But I still prefer the Westmalle.

    Beer O da day!

And what's the verdict in your opinion on this one Angelo? I haven't tried it yet.. Although I have bought several sixers of that Anderson Valley Hop Ottin I saw you post a pic of a while back. Made for a great camping IPA seeing as it came in the can!

    Beer O da day!

Yes....the Orval was the most "unique" of the 3 as I recall. I only had one...and I'm going back for my second try at it after this Westmalle is gone, so we'll see if my initial opinion holds true.

    Beer O da day!

Haven't had a ton of the Trappist ales just yet......the St. Bernadus and the Orval being the other two in my latest beer purchase... This one was the best of those 3 IMO...the others were good, but this one was excellent.

    Roach-klip: Tatuaje TAA

And those are words and insight that I both can appreciate and agree with Craig. Thanks for offerin' the flip side of the coin, as I do know there are lots out there who haven't had the opportunity to try several of the cigars you mention there (which happen to be a few of the ones I was...

    Roach-klip: Tatuaje TAA

I just may do that at some point Craig..but I guess what I was getting at, is I kinda have already smoked this cigar (at least based on the review)...and many times at that. And please don't misconstrue my words....I'm not taking anything away from Jere's review, as they're always...

    Roach-klip: Tatuaje TAA

Kinda what I was getting at too Nate...only clearly I came to a different conclusion...lol.

    Roach-klip: Tatuaje TAA

I very well may be in the minority here, and that's ok...but reading this review, I can't help but think "2nd verse, same as the first". Only by second verse, I mean like sixth or seventh. Glad folks are enjoying em though, but nothing in the flavor profile described sounds unique or remotely...

    Beer O da day!

Think I may have found a new favorite Belgian... A little heavier in the carbonation, and lighter on the fruit than say a Tripel...but just a really, really nice beer!

    Beer O da day!

Stone Ruination IPA in my glass.... Always a favorite when the Pliny stock runs dry! :shame:

Stone 15th Anniv Imperial Black IPA

For those who are looking for this style...and coming up empty at their stores...keep an eye out for Deschutes Hop in the Dark. IMO much better than the Stone SSR, but admit I havent tried the 15th Anni yet. I'll fix that though.. I enjoy a nice black IPA...moreso in the Fall/Winter months...

    Cigar box as a Humidor?

This is how I started....and besides the fact you'll totally be kidding yourself into thinking this is enough storage...it WILL come in handy as long as you'll need it.. http://www.cigarsolutions.com/products/Cigar-Caddy-15-cigar-travel-humidor.html Can't argue w/ the price, and it's...

    Cohiba maduro 5 genios

Sums up perfectly my few experiences with this cigar. If I'm gonna smoke a maduro, it'll be a non-cuban one....they just seem to do a better job with em'. Way overpriced for what you get with these IMO.

    Montecristo Grand Edmundo

This is my take on this particular EL cigar as well...and several Monte 2's i've smoked have just plain been better all around. I know some folks love em' though. Thanks for the review.

    Look what I found... Hmmmm

I've seen these go for considerably more than this... Don't let the price you guys' got (a ridiculously good find it sounds like) lead you to believe anything above is extraordinary. Would I buy it? Not a chance. If I was looking for one though.....this isn't the worst deal I've seen by...

    Beer O da day!

Having my 1st go at this one just now Brian...and I kinda agree with your assessment...lol. Just finished the Tripel right before this one, and this one I would buy again for sure, but probably not the Tripel though.. Cheers!

    Southern Tier "PumKing"

interesting read...thanks for posting. Perhaps I'll have to revisit the Pumpking again this year to see if I missed something. Admittedly I only drank one 22, so I guess like cigars, I shouldn't count it out after just one go at it. As some others have said, Pumpkin beers are definitely...

    Southern Tier "PumKing"

Count me in the didn't care for it category... A little too heavy on the what I assumed to be nutmeg spice. That was last years batch though. Gimmie DFH Punk'in over this one easily.

This is what can happen when you take your Smartphone with you to the beer store...... I spent far too long there! :devilhead

what cigar(s) are missing from your stash?

I'd like to have a box of Upmann Sir Winnies, and a box of Cohiba Esplendido in my Humi. I'm not even a Churchill smoker, but these are two staples of their brand that I've heard too many good things about. My 1st and only SW will burn next weekend...and a decision made as to next purchase. Of...
