• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Cappuccino drinkers insight please!

actually, gary, no, "espresso" by definition requires pressure, specifically 9 BAR. it's not just the temperature, but that is part of it, it's more the force of the steam essentially blasting the maximum amount of oils out of the grounds within the minimum amount of time. even a mokka pot...

    Cappuccino drinkers insight please!

second the little stove top "mokka pot", which is a work horse for those on a budget. there is really no good cheap espresso machine, but the stove top beastie is a solid compromise, and better by far than a lot of "mid-range" espresso machines, IMO. little trick? you can use a french press...

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

some kinda foundry, unsure which other than this year's release: creamy with a little citric vibe, would probably be amazing with an orange cream soda or a screwdriver. finish is a little flat, so i'm not taking it too seriously, but a damn decent afternoon smoke, or something to toss a more...

Review: Tatuaje Black Corona Gorda Jar Release

great review, and great sentiment, sir! from being in the booze biz, and what i always people about "tasting" cigars, you HAVE to put it into words. post a review, talk about it with a smoking partner, or just talk out loud to yourself on your porch or in your basement, if it comes to that...

How well do Tat' PCR's age?

    1) small cigars round out quicker with age than larger vitolas, in most instances. 2) the cigars made by the garcia fam, most especially pete's blends, have a solid track record for successful aging. 3) they're small as shit, so storing a couple few shouldn't be a major issue. to me, if you...

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

actually looks like a "cuban corona", which is in their core line. almost just a wee little bit trumpeted, or slightly belicoso-ish? still, core fuente is a solid fall back, and that is a solid size. o)

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

"yellow cello" is a sign of the oils moving around, and can be an indication of a cigar aging under proper conditions. which is odd on a release that young, but the bastards ARE pretty oily. important thing is, did you enjoy it? o)

Has anyone else found a diamond in there humi

yeah, the real turning point for me into the fiend i am today was rearranging my stash, early '11ish, and finding a fistful of anejo '46. i was trying to remember when i got them, and realized they were from my first full box from '08, and going "holy crap, how did i keep my hands off these?"...

Why do people not write the word ****** ?

i am guessing you are referring to "fund friend", which is touchy about usage of their name, AND tobacco goods and services. so pail fail is referred to under more creative means. also, E has that auto blocked (like a free-standing censor), just for safety reasons. still the best game running...
