The best cigar you ever had (so far!)?

Cigarfest '11. Johnathan Drew had posted on the Cbid Forum that he would have a very limited supply of pre-production Dirty Rats at Cfest, for those who knew to ask for them. Of course I tracked him down. I remember that Dirty Rat to be the best cigar I've ever smoked, and I've smoked close...

    The Official Cigar Deals Thread

Famous is having a fire sale on Olde Penn Connie Cigars by Drew Estate. $29.00 a box after our discount. I've smoked through almost an entire box and have ordered more. To me it's mild/medium with good flavors and some natural sweetness. Construction is typical DE high quality and it is not...

    Waiting for cigars

I'm been smoking them for 10 years, and have maybe 2500 to 3000 on hand. When I get a delivery, my reaction is more like (1) "Why did I just buy a bunch of cigars I don't need?" and (2) "Where am I going to put them?"

Super Bowl Question For Those With Alexa

Wow! Awesome for you (living on Grand Cayman). Thank you for the reply, but I'm still waiting to hear from someone who is actually in New England right now. Would Amazon really want to risk alienating a bunch of Patriot fans?

I need a "NEW" Cellular phone, I need help choosing.

About a month ago, my wife and I retired our I-Phone 5cs for unlocked Moto g5 plus we found on sale at Costco for $159. It took a little while getting used to Android, but we now like our Moto g5s better then our old Apples. For $159 we got a 5.2" 1080 display, fingerprint reader, 12 mp...

    La Palina/Cigar Page Questions

The sizes on La Palina's web site show 6x40, 5x52, 6x50 and 6x60. CP's description also shows them as 6x50, but these are definitely 6x54. Maybe someone was using the wrong molds, and La Palina sold them to CP as an odd lot. Strange thing is they still have the 2 factory bands, and most...

    La Palina/Cigar Page Questions

I've won/bought La Palina cigars from CA/Famous and have found them to be very enjoyable. A few weeks ago, I found a post here about Cigar Page having a La Palina sale. Classics, Blacks and Reds at dirt cheap prices. I picked up a 10 pack of Classics and Blacks to give them a try. The first...

Question: “Last Cigar” & “One for the rest of your life”?

OK, last cigar ever, PAM 64 "A" (I'd want it to last as long as possible). One cigar for the rest of my life? Believe it or not, La Aurora Untamed (Rob & Corona Gorda). This one hits all my sweet spots. Sweet spice, cocoa, coffee and pepper, connie broadleaf maduro wrapper, med/full strength...

Super Bowl Question For Those With Alexa

Last night I asked Amazon's Alexa two questions. 1) "Who do you want to win the Super Bowl?" Her answer "Fly, Eagles fly! They've never won a Super Bowl, and I like a good underdog story". 2) "Who will win the Super Bowl?" Her answer, "I'm flying with the Eagles on this one because of their...

    Smoking In Sub-Freezing Temps

22 degrees in Jersey right now, and I just came in from smoking a Diesel UC. Packable down jacket, Dickie insulated coveralls, knit hat, glove on my right hand, and my single tank top propane heater, sitting on a bucket, set on "low", just to keep my face and cigar hand warm. Very comfortable...

Curious what fire method you use to light up?

Multi-flame torch. I've had so many over the years from duals to quads. When you smoke 1,000 cigars a year, you tend to go through a lot of lighters. I like multi-flames because I slowly toast the foot without letting the flame touch. In ideal conditions it takes about 30 seconds, but in...

Do you have a size preference?

Corona, PC, Rob, and Corona Gorda in that order. For some reason, I've never caught the Lonsdale bug. Least favorite would be anything longer then 5 3/4" and/or a RG greater than 52.

    Cigar Purchasing Survey

How much have I spent on cigars in the past 12 months? No idea, but I know it was way, way too much. How many cigars did I purchase in the past 12 months. I haven't a clue, but it again was way, way too many. How many cigars did I smoke in the past 12 months? Wild guess would be about...

    Ring gauge and flavor

44 to 48 rg is my sweet spot, but I do smoke a large number of Robs. I try to stay away from anything larger then 52 rg. A couple night ago, I attempted a CAO Flathead (58 x 5 1/2). It was a very tasty cigar, but I found the large rg to be very uncomfortable. It did last forever, though. An...

Smoking a stick right after its delivered

Most of my cigars come from Famous or Holts. Since I usually get 1 day delivery from either, they usually arrive way too wet for my tastes. Even knowing this, I'll still sometimes lite up OTT, if it's something I haven't had before, and really want to try.
