    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

Just got back from Turks & Caicos and was almost eaten by a very rude shark! So, a Fuente shark to mark my vacation. Fuentes are going to be hard to find in the next few years. Y'all see the news? Luckily, my shop won't have any problems, but I feel bad for y'all.

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

So dirty finger nails indicates a genuine and caring nature while proper hygiene signifies pompous high class? My dear fellow, I'm certain you have the most bizarre method of social classification. Didn't mama make you wash up before supper? Well you should wash up before smoking and refrain...

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

Boys, clean your gunky finger nails. And don't give me that proud, working class "this is how we feed our families" nonsense. If you can afford the cigar you're smoking, you can afford a $2 nail scrub brush. Now wash up!As for me, I'll be lighting up a Riverside House Blend. Lots of men cross...

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

Seems lots of you boys have over-active salivary glands the way you slobber on your stogies. It's enough to make a girl lose her lunch. Anyhoo, smoking one of those cute little Cohiba Clubs that come out of a tin. Don't know if it really is Cohiba tobacco, but it's a tasty little smoke...

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

Starting the day with an old Padilla 1932 Lancero. These are from '06 or '07 back when Pepin Garcia was making them in Miami. It's really sad if you think about it. Padilla has been unable to replicate this blend in other factories despite his many attempts. And this was by FAR the best thing...

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

Now that my mourning for Avo is officially over and I've paid my respects, I'm puffing on a cigar called Warped Meastro del Tiempo in what appears to be a lonsdale size. Such a pretty label and the shape is so classic and elegant, but don't ask me to give you a photo. I'd just as soon take a...

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

Avo 88 on my last day of mourning. For those of you who mourned with me, y'all are gentlemen. For all who refused, shame on you. It's been sad but also fun to go back into all my old stocks of aged Avos, limited-edition Avos, and Avo brands that were wrongfully discontinued. Anyhoo, thanks for...

Avo Dominant 13th. So far, this is the best limited-edition Avo since the Tesoro. These are the limited editions that Avo blended himself and validated. The 88 is the last one he was part of. Anything after that is a fabrication...fake Avos for fake smokers. Oh Avo, this current crop of...

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

Nice to see some of you true gentlemen paying respects to Avo the way you should be. You lead by example. I'm puffing on a Domaine Avo Perfecto. The brand is small enough that it actually still tastes like it did 10 years ago. I can't say that for the Classic anymore. Too much turnover and...

Avo 787 Churchill. After Davidoff discontinued the 787 brand, I bought out all their remaining stock. Much better than the crappy Avos Davidoff is putting out now. Uvezian had nothing to do with any of the Avos in the last few years. Go Tar Heels!

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

Avo Tessoro from 2008. Time nicely eradicated the signature Davidoff funk of the olor tobacco and turned the Tesoro into a nice cup of tea and a cinnamon scone on the side all in the form of smoke. The girls came over for a game of Sunday Bridge. They drank dtea. I puffed away, and didn't take...

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

Still mourning Avo and in his honor will smoke nothing but Avos all week. Not the Syncro or Fogata. He had nothing to do with those. Only Avos that he blended and validated. Today, an Avo 22, but not the ones included in the Avo's Greates Hits package. That was rubbish and didn't use the same...

Illusione Epernay Le Voyage. Been smoking it for two hours and still have another hour left. Listening to the third act of Tristan und Isolde on my headphones so I don't have to hear all the yokels in the lounge crying over the Louisville upset.

La Escepcion Selectos Finos made for Italy. I've smoked plenty from the box, but these came from the ceramic jar. Ages totally different in ceramic. Makes more of a difference than I thought. Don't expect me to take a picture. That's vulgar.

    Tatuaje Broadleaf Collection

Tatuaje has played with broadleaf a bunch of times, but I keep going back to La Riqueza. That's his best broadleaf effort by many, many degrees.

Cigar Factory French Quarter New Orleans

Cute place, but the music is always WAY too loud. Not very good for conversation or relaxing, but great for doing the Salsa (cha-cha-cha). Bring your flats, ladies!

    Love this place cigar GAW

You're not out of line, Pure George. Your offer is sweet, but sadly, you've been had. Here are my tid-bits of crucial advice. 1) Always treat your lady right. 2) Never trust the old "pre-embargo Cuban tobacco" gimmick. It's for gullible noobs who don't know anything about Cuban tobacco and...

    Plume or mold?

Looks like mold but need to see clear. Cigars have looked like that and it's been plume so you need to wipe it and take a clearer picture to be sure.
