    Today's Bourbon

Not a fan of Jefferson's Ocean. Maybe it's in my head, but it tasted a little salty to me. Have never tried Black Maple Hill but here in NY it's one of those hard to find bourbons.

    BOTL Weight Loss Thread

I don't know if there is a such thing as a healthy recipe for baked beans. My .02 is enjoy the holiday but be conscious of what you eat. If the week doesn't end up where you want to be weight wise, shrug it off and return to your standard routine asap. You had a week where you gained a little...

    BOTL Weight Loss Thread

I'm a bit older than most of you (63) and it seems like I just put on about 3-5 lbs a year for too many years. Add to that the stress of losing a business, losing a job and the lbs just keep on coming. I'm a stress eater and a chronic over eater and that doesn't help any diet plan. While I...

    Yashica

Yashica made good cameras back in the day. But with everything now digital and with the whole world carrying cameras in their pockets, you'll have a time finding film and a place to get it developed. Good luck though. 3 lenses?

Where to start on my neat scotch journey ?

I'll weigh in on the whole "adding water" to your otherwise neat whisky. All whiskies come out of their aging barrels at what's called "cask strength". This can be anywhere from 109 to 130 proof depending on lots of factors. How does the distiller get it to market at 80 proof? Anybody? Somebody...

Your latest pipe/pipe tobacco purchase thread....

Well not exactly my last, more like my first pipe, a Savinelli 606 with my "custom" pipe carrier in the back. As posted in another thread, I found a leather Dopp kit on sale in a luggage store for $10. Holds my 3 pipes, cleaners, baccy, lighter and still more room. Time for another pipe, methinks!
