I'll weigh in on the whole "adding water" to your otherwise neat whisky. All whiskies come out of their aging barrels at what's called "cask strength". This can be anywhere from 109 to 130 proof depending on lots of factors. How does the distiller get it to market at 80 proof? Anybody? Somebody...

Well not exactly my last, more like my first pipe, a Savinelli 606 with my "custom" pipe carrier in the back. As posted in another thread, I found a leather Dopp kit on sale in a luggage store for $10. Holds my 3 pipes, cleaners, baccy, lighter and still more room. Time for another pipe, methinks!
