    Cracked Bowl now what?

I read the article, while I see no problem with using briar dust and super glue on the exterior. Using JB Weld inside the bowl is beyond what I would be comfortable with.

    Cracked Bowl now what?

It may be fatal, you could try pipe mud. My advice is to contact a few pipe repair places and see what they say.

    Savenelli Pipes?

As others have said Savenelli makes good pipes. Do a google search on pipe restoration and you'll find a lot of information both in written and video form.

    Adopting a child?

My wife and I adopted our son, we adopted him through our local office of Children and Youth. By adopting through the PA state adoption network the state subsidizes the majority of the costs. We started as foster parents, and yes you can pick the age range you would like to foster. We got our...

    A second cigar boom?

Ha, I was a little too old for the retro 70's trend in the 90's. It was bad enough I had to wear that stuff during my childhood.

Tobaccos you aren't a fan of.....

Plum Pudding, I know people rave about the stuff, but the more I smoked it the less impressed I was. I of find it one dimensional, tried it in pipes with wide bowl, narrow bowls, shallow and deep bowls.

    A second cigar boom?

If the FDA passes their regulations as written, I don't think we will see so much of a boom as a panic. Think the Cuban Embargo where JFK sent out people to buy all the H. Upmann Petite Corona's they could find prior to his signing the embargo (the got about 1,200). People will be trying to buy...

    A second cigar boom?

No, I don't see the boom returning. From the article I take it as a move grow his business. During the boom, a lot of people who knew nothing about cigars jumped into opening shops or went into manufacturing. There were a ton of really crappy cigars put out during the boom, again mainly by...

    Intro/question

First off Welcome! When it comes to cellaring tobacco, both unopened tins and properly stored bluk blends will age. If you do a search on cellaring you will find allot of information. Virginia blends tend to age the best. Burley based blends will also age, but not as well. Condiment tobacco's...

    What else am I missing?

I have two Zippo pipe lighters, they work very well. I mostly use them when I'm outside, at home I use wooden matches. If you want to you could add a corn cob pipe so you can rest one between smokes.
