Went to a Pepin event last night and got to try one of these. Although the cigar, IMO, was better manufactured and more oily, it tasted to me like the new El Baton line. It was slightly smoother, great draw, MUCH less toothy, but the overall flavors were very very similar. Bear

I smoke a candela on occasion, but they really have to have some age on them. The flavor is so dang strong (is intense a better word?) I second the Don Tomas candela. Cheap and pretty reliable smoke. Bear

$0.50 a piece is a great deal for curly heads. They are GREAT yardwork and travel cigars. I can't say I would sit down over a glass of scotch with a curly head, but hey- you might love them :) Bear
