    Show/List your latest CC Purchase

Kyle is a great BOTL!!! He has been my cigar Yoda for a couple of years and now that I am getting into Cubans he was good enough to help facilitate my first Cuban purchase. Sample away, but I can't promise that the bottle of Highland won't have a cracked seal :glassesgr

    Lagunita's WTF Ale

This is a great beer. I have not had one with a cigar but I can see how the maltyness of it would complement a cigar like a monte #2. The WTF is also a good beer to follow a real hoppy beer like the Hop Stoopid.

I'll be in Portland, OR - what's your recommendation

The three spots you are looking at are all very different and depend on what you like. Detention Bar is at the McMennimins Kennedy School and is very Portland funky. The bar is small and smoky but has the most "character." The clients at the Kennedy school are definitely your young hipsters...

I'll be in Portland, OR - what's your recommendation

El Gaucho is the place to go if you will be downtown. They have a great happy hour 5-7 on Friday or 10-close on Saturday. Be sure to take your own cigars because their selection is limited and waaay over priced.

    Advice from Washington DC BOTLs

Great news about the cigar patio. I am having dinner there on Tuesday night, but i am sure I will sneak out there several more times. I am going to look into cabbing it or a car service to get downtown, and try to get to Shelly's on Friday or Sunday. I really appreciate the advice and if I...

    Advice from Washington DC BOTLs

Sounds like Shelly's is the place! Thanks to everyone for their feedback and advice. Dave, you confirmed my concern on the location of the hotel. I won't have a car so it looks like I will be praying for some nice weather and finding a nice bench somewhere, or jumping in a cab to Shelly's...

    Advice from Washington DC BOTLs

I will be in DC for a conference the 18th - 23rd. I will be staying at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center. It looks like the hotel is out of the city and I am looking for some advice on someplace close I can sneak away to have a smoke, if that is possible. Thanks for all of...

    Arizona Shootings

As much as I loved the movie Red Dawn I would not credit the 80 million guns in this country. I would credit the logistical nightmare the two vast oceans that are patrolled by the world's greatest navy provides. Never the less this was a tragedy perpetrated by a very disturbed individual...

    Opened the SW Maddy

I smoked my first one last night with KPP, and I was blown away. I thought it was very flavorful and I am very glad I have 14 more to enjoy in the future. It will be interesting to see how they are in the coming months.

    Evergreen State.... Er. Nanny State

El Gaucho is a very high end premium steak house that has cigar lounges. I lived across the street from the downtown Seattle El Gaucho when this smoking ban was passed in 05. The Seattle El Gaucho kept their cigar lounge open after the law was passed and paid a daily fine to do so. It finally...
