    Any audiophile around?

I have the Sennheiser HD280s....very nice set of cans. Not their highest end product, but really good. Big question is do you want circumaural (around the whole ear) or supra-aural (sits on the ear). The HD280s are very comfortable for the fact they are as big as they are...and sound great.

Roach-klip: Tatuaje Black Label CG Original Jar Revisit 2013

I still think this is a very good cigar considering the age on it. Added a comment below the pic. I LOVE the new one...have smoked a few already. But you still can't go wrong with this one as a start to the day.

Roach-klip: Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial Hawaiian Lancero

Picked up a some of these from Marvin (mc808) and had a chance to smoke one earlier in the week. What a great cigar...even right off the truck from Hawaii! Great job by the guys choosing this blend! Get em if you can. And although it is just a little longer than a Corona Gorda, it is called...

Roach-klip: Tatuaje Black Label CG Bundle 2013

I was eagerly waiting for this one to come out. I didn't get to try the OR CG when it first came out....but have smoked many with some age. I love the Black Label robo, and especially the petit robo. This cigar is amazing fresh....have smoked a few already.

Roach-klip: Tatuaje Black Label CG Original Jar Revisit 2013

This old cigar still has some great flavor, just not the pop. Definitely one that can be smoked before it's new younger brother. I smoked this one the day after smoking the new release. Very similar flavors...but the spice in calmed down, which you would expect.

Why would a retailer do this?

IIRC, when I was at one of their shops while visiting Darkman, I believe they had a cigar that was wrapped to look like a Hershey's bar, or something like that. Poor choices when it comes to keeping cigars away from the FDA.

    Blind Reviews Thread

I love this idea. I would love to do it, but it's difficult enough for me to find time to smoke a cigar right now, except for on the way home from work. Although, I do have a couple of reviews that I need to post from cigars I smoked Thurs/Fri last week.

    Cigar porn

Yes, fully agree with others that it is mold. Plume will not be in big mass spots like that....mold will wipe away. Cigars that have the cedar wrapped around them can get mold spots easily....like Anejos, Hemingways, etc. You need to keep an eye on em. Back to cigar porn!

    Must-see Chicago-area Shops

Don't forget Jack Schwartz...downtown in the Board of Trade building. Their spot just finished a remodel...looks a little roomier than what it had been. Great people there! Only open til 5pm (M-F) though. Casa is a must! Up Down too...LIL outdoor patio to smoke on too.

What Torano had the best flavor profile for you?

If you can find em....and it may still be possible, if you look around...but the Tribute 2008 Churchill was/is awesome.

    BOTL Illinois Chapter Herf/Meetup

Well, Hoshy, I bring it up, because clearly it is being used by someone without permission. It was even mentioned on Facebook that BOTL does not promote any of the multiple "Chapters" that have appeared. Also, the OP has shown in his intro thread that he created this "Chapter" and came here to...

    BOTL Illinois Chapter Herf/Meetup

What is this BOTL Chapter stuff.....nothing that I have seen created by Eric. Seems like someone is using a Trademark that isn't theirs.

What's the weirdest term you've heard to describe how a cigar tastes

W is referring to one of my reviews on here...the jello I mention is my Mom's recipe. Secret stays safe.

    Roach-klip: EP Carrillo Generosos

Not exclusive that I know....just CdM has the launch. And yeah, it has been a while since my last review. I have not talked about changes in my life over the past year and a half, but it has been difficult to find time to really enjoy a full cigar, let alone review one. Glad to hear that the...

Roach-klip: My Father Cigars El Centurion

Although I had never smoked the original El Centurion when it was first released, I have smoked quite a few the past few years. I really enjoyed this new El Centurion, and hope that it lives up to the original in terms of aging potential. It definitely is a really good one right now.

    Roach-klip: EP Carrillo Generosos

Another good friend gave me one of these cigars to smoke and asked if I would review it. So happens that Ernie is in Chicago this week for a number of events, including the launch event/dinner for this cigar at Casa de Montecristo. I have enjoyed every cigar that EPC has released...this one...

Roach-klip: Don Pepin Garcia 10th Anniversary

I was given this cigar by a great friend a little while back, and promised I would smoke it for a review. Thanks!!! I had burned this cigar weeks ago, but just got around to putting the review together. Apologies. All I will add is....when will this cigar be available????

Where does that pepper kick come from?

Even though it is a long filler cigar, it doesn't mean that it can't have smaller pieces of leaf to make the blend a specific way. Such as placing a smaller piece of Ligero at the foot. I thought I had a video from the My Father Cigar factory tour I went on a few years ago. But I can't find...
