    Cheaper Cigars Debacle

Over Memorial Day weekend I ordered a box of cigars from Cheaper Cigars. That meant that they had the order in hand on Tuesday May 31st, and my checking account was debited on that same day. On Thursday June 2 I called to find out when they order would be shipped as the website says they ship in...

    LFD Digger

I'm gravitating to the smaller ring gauges and have recently bought both the Illusione Holy Lance and the Finesse F9 Lonsdale, having read about the smaller ring gauges' superiority as well as having tasted the phenomenal difference between the Antano Dark Corojo Peligroso (5 X 44) and the...

    Heartfelt Beads, Frequently Asked Questions

Viper139 said: "He is correct. The additional beads will not drive the rh up higher, they will maintain the 65% rh." Would you agree that "better" could be appended to the above? Two cylinders per humidor would emit a, so to speak, stronger 65 rH signal? I ask as the three bead cylinders that...

    Padrón and Oliva Reference Guides

The Patron Serie 1926 cigars are numbered. This refers to the vitola, not to a different blend? Also, what does the Padron "Natural" wrapper mean-Corojo, Colorado Maduro, Habano? CI, I believe, says it means Habano. My tobacconist says that it means Sungrown.

Rinsing/dampening cigars before you smoke them

Although I follow the logic of this technique, but being a relative newbie to cigars, it's not I would try.

    Confessional

I'm smoking one of my final three Tatuaje Havana VI torpedoes. I've loved this cigar. Complex, very flavorful.

    Coldest Temp

I live alone and thus can light-up whenever I want. I also hate smoking outside, and should I remarry, a condition would be that I can continue to smoke indoors. Not kidding.

    Greetings from Texas

I'm relatively new here, and to the cigar world, too. I spend most of my time here reading. A great thread to check out is http://www.botl.org/community/forums/showthread.php?t=4095. Tons of information there. Welcome!

Need Help!! Where can a guy smoke indoors in Greensboro NC??

You can smoke indoors at the Pipe and Pint on Spring Garden Road. Larry, the owner of this B&M, is one of the most wonderful tobacconists you are ever likely to find. I've been driving an hour to get to his shop since 2002. He has a great humidor-only stocks good to great sticks. His phone...

    The Official Budget Stick Thread

A lot of great suggestions in this thread. I smoke $2 and $3 cigars in the morning, before my palate has awakened. Smoking better cigars at this time can be a waste of money. Has anyone heard of Evelio Cigars? The Robusto Larga Maduro, as all the vitolas that JR carries, goes for $54.95 for a...

    Draw Problems

Thank you for the recommend of the beads. I figured that once I revealed the oscillation of the rH in my humidors, that this suggestion would be made. Thanks much for your steerage!

    Draw Problems

I've read that any rH between 65 and 75% is fine. I store my cigars anywhere between 65 and 75% rH, not by choice but by the readings on the Diamond Crown digital hygrometers that I use. The rH always fluctuates. If too high, I remove one of the two humidifiers; if too low I reinstall the...

    Draw Problems

I tried not to start a separate thread for these remarks, but I didn't get much feedback posting them in an established thread. _________ 50% of the cigars I smoke suffer from a stiff draw, which varies from needing to take a firm to a very firm draw to get a viable amount of smoke. To...

Monte Cristo Edmundo and draw problems

50% of the cigars I smoke suffer from a stiff draw, which varies from needing to take a firm to a very firm draw to get a viable amount of smoke. To paraphrase Steve Saka, you have to fight the cigar. My tobacconist says that this is because the roller twisted a leaf, and with a draw correction...
