Construction:
The 100 Anos Robusto is covered in a brown and toothy wrapper. It's a dense cigar and smells wonderful.
The wrapper did have a large vein running the length of the stogie but it didn't pose any burn problems.
The prelight draw had hints of sweet tobacco and a woody flavor.
While the cigar was burning it did get mushy about a half inch behind the cherry. Even still, it never ran hot. It burnt perfectly.
1/3:
It starts off great. Sweet tobacco smacks the palate with a nice spice on the finish. The flavors develop into a nice flavor of wood -- I'd call it "Oak."
2/3:
It remained fairly consistent from the first third to the second third. The same delicious flavor of oak and sweet tobacco. The spice mellows out a bit, but it's still there.
3/3:
God, what a great cigar. The flavors are pretty much the same as before, but the spice is back and in full-force. Even with the spice, the cigar remains mild-medium in strength.
Overall:
I f*cking loved this cigar. The flavors didn't change much but it was delicious. I never wanted the cigar to end. I smoked this to the nub and burnt my fingers.
The flavor profile reminded me of the PSD No. 4 -- but not nearly as strong. If you are looking for a mild-medium bodied cigar with a nice burn, good flavors, yet plenty of spice on the finish -- this is the cigar.
