The thing to remember is that whisky doesn't actually "age" once bottled.

I have this same box.

I bought it at an estate sale while vacationing in Wellington. Since i hate scotch, I threw out the bottles in order to have a cool crate for holding my Donny Osmond 8 track tape collection.

....true, but the fact it was bottled before the 20th century and that the recipe was lost is worth the try.

Oldest I have tried was The MaCallan 30 year old . It was $70 a glass. It was super smooth. Not worth $70 though. I will have to stick with the 18 and 21 year old until I win the lotto. Then I will bath in 30 year old lol
