  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Now I'm curious to see how many people will be wearing heat shirts and claiming to be fan of them since ever since they entered the league. LOL

I'm about 99.9% sure that the Heat will have more sales revenue than any other NBA team this year.

I'm a D Wade fan, so I root for the Heat becuase of him. Glad he has some help for the next 5 or so years. It will be interesting to see who now takes the league minimum or close to, to come play with these three. They have to try and trade Beasley for a PG now.

As a heat fan from the beginning when they were terrible(I was at a game where they struggled against Israeli Maccabee's) and suffering through Alec Kessler and Alan Ogg, I'm very excited about the product that they will put on the floor. I don't think they win it all this year, but next year should be gravy. 2006 was magic, I'm looking forward to the near future.

also, go Dolphins!

Wow! What a letter! I felt his pain! Haha Its true though. You can't see heaven without dying. How it plays out now will be interesting. As for Cleveland bringing home a title before James....I doubt either one gets one anytime soon.

There's only one basketball. It will be funny if they're watching the finals next year. Let alone get beat by the Lakers.
I agree with this. I also am kinda bummed that we won't be seeing the same LeBron and Wade of the past. They won't be able to just go off every night knowing they are the one superstar on the team. It will be interesting to see how they can play together. Also will be more interesting to see what the Heat can put around them with all that salary being tied up in those three.

They may get along for a minute... Too many tier 1 players can eventually work against a team. And, the bench will suffer when the organization has less moolah to spend on back-ups. They're just one injury away from being mediocre.

I admired the maturity James showed from the very beginning. Aside from spending a few bucks on a Hummer and buying stuff for his Mom (rightly so), he didn't go nuts with the massive amounts of cash thrown at him as a rookie. He has remained low-key and stayed out of trouble. I lost a lot of respect for him for grandstanding and putting on a dog and pony show just to announce where he would play next year. What message does that send to the rest of the Heat players?

No disrespect meant toward any BOTL that are Miami Heat fans. Your team has made a grand acquisition. You will probably see the results immediately. I just hope this was Lebron's one and only show of selfishness and puffery.

Can someone tell me what labron has done to deserve this hype? I dare say he isn't much better as a basketball player now than when he first entered the league. If they blew the whistle everytime he traveled and carried he'd never get a shot off. the heat is going to self-destruct cause labrons ego cant take sharing the spotlight. it'll start off good but one little rough spot and BAM shit will hit the fan

He created "The Championship of ME" is all he's really done. This guy has made such a ridiculous spectacle of himself and his free agency, that most have zero respect for him. I agree with you that he will not want to share the spotlight and the team will self destruct with 3 pre-madonas on the court at once.

BTW that letter from the Cav owner is awesome.

That Team will be head to beat, unless the ego's get in the way.

I still say repeat, 3peat. Purple and Gold!!! Go Lakers
here's to purple and gold.

there's a lot of hatred towards lebron right now. wonder if it would've been different if his decision were made quietly, without the hype.
