5 Vegas Cask Strength II Toro
Construction:
The Cask Strength has a smooth, dark brown wrapper with an oily sheen.
It feels like a Padron 1964; a box-pressed cigar that has some give when squeezed. It doesn't feature a dense pack.
The pre-light flavor is that of straight tobacco.
The Cask Strength had an absolute perfect burn never giving me any problems. The draw was on the loose side but it still burnt for well over an hour.
1/3:
From the start the cigar puts off a ton of smoke. I mean a ton! The loose draw is evident from the first puff.
The flavors are straight tobacco at this point, with heavy leather notes. There's a slight (very slight) spice on the finish.
2/3:
The flavors are the same but the cigar picks up a bit more of that spice.
(Enjoying some good music while I enjoy the 5 Vegas Cask Strength II)
3/3:
Still the same flavors. The cigar remains fairly consistent throughout. Some tobacco, some leather, and a little spice. Nothing to sneeze at, but nothing to write home about either.
Overall:
Not a bad cigar for the price. Great burn, tons of smoke, and decent flavors. Though, if you're looking for a full-bodied powerhouse with better and more complex flavors, I'd look into the Ruination, T110, and the La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero line.
