  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Wrapper: Nicaraguan Corojo
Binder :Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan and Dominican
Origen:Nicaragua (Cigars International with Pepin Garcia or Janny Garcia)
Size:5x50

Body-Medium to full

Straight cut (Cuban Crafters Perfecto)

Beverage-Water

Burn-Very even burn

Burn time- 1 hour 10 minutes

Predraw-Tobacco with nutts and some spice

Flavors-
1-Lots of cedar wood and black tobacco and some hints of raisin, lots of peppery Corojo spice threw the sinus

2-Approaching the middle of the first third(above the foot band) a strong ,,,sour onion,,,:cryloud:like taste (three sticks in 5 had this taste but one had the strongest which held in my mouth all day) kicks in. The cigar turns off after the sour kick, after a relight and a blow burning what ever there was , the sour taste mellows out and the raisin sent comes back

3-Approaching the band which is above the middle of the whole cigar, some earthy coffee tone and leather ads in and the raisin mellows out, flavors are turning dry

4-Peppery Corojo with mild earthy brawn sugar taste with hints of cocoa , body is medium to full
Nubbed it with nutty and earthy tones with spice on the lips

Overall-
A very well constructed cigar with an attractive wrapper. Dont know which blend of tobacco makes the "Sour Onion" part that seems to have in some sticks but overall a straight forward cigar.

Score-B

Ive had it in the toro and the nuckle. Never got the sour onion.
Guys thanks for your comments!!!
Yes i very much loved the 2cigars in the 5pack but three with the onion was ,,,,strange , it happened when the cherry is low on heat so it could be a bad combustion of a specific combination of tobacco. But i will keep on smoking these and figure out more good and bad . Thnaks for your comment

These get much better with some age on them. I wasn't a fan at all until I smoked an M5 with about a year of age on it. It was really very good!

I really smoked these by the box full a couple of years ago and then just moved on to other smokes for some reason. I need to drag one out and see how they are now. I should have three or four boxes of the robusto that have been resting since then.

Thanks for the review. I have smoked three or four boxes of these and think they are great, especially for the price. Pepin is the man

Holy dead thread, Batman!

But, since it's back... I do concur. This is actually a really good stick for its low price. I suggest more people pick them up.
