  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Torpedo:

I smoked this cigar after getting out of work. It had a nice smooth Corojo wrapper with a small vein on one side. I took out my new Palio (thanks to Ron) and it did the job like a hot knife through butter. The cigar started off with a nice blast of spice. The first third was filled with earthy tones and a long white pepper finish. The draw was as perfect as can be. The burn started off great but started to canoe a little by the second third. As I fixed the burn issue and the second third came around I found the spice to subside and noticed more of an oaky flavor. All the while this cigar was smoking like a champ. Huge clouds of blue-grey smoke on every draw. Some sweetness was detected in the second third which would play a role later in the last third. The ash, a beautiful white-grey, all the while was firm but a little flaky from time to time. As the final third approached I was happily surprised to notice some hints of cinnamon followed by some spice. Also, in the last third came some of the earthy tones I noticed in the first third. It was definitely a nice melange of flavors. Smoked this cigar down to an inch and Iloved it the whole time. I would have to recommend this to anyone who likes a medium to full bodied smoke. I was pleasantly surprised by this smoke being that is a 5 Vegas. I enjoy the Series A and will now be adding this to my list of smokes. By the way these are rolled in Nicaragua under the direction Don Pepin Garcia. I guess I really shouldn't have been surprised. It was a great hour and 20 minute relaxing smoke.

Thanks Eddie, nice review. I also like the series A and was thinking of giving these a try. Now it sounds like a must try!

Sweet. Glad to hear someone likes them. i just picked up a handful on cbad...as aprt of my quest to obtain all things pepin. I assumed they would be good coming from him. I'm curious to see if there's much of a difference between the two factories...Miami and Esteli.

I got the toro size
