50 Vintage Cigar Bands

Don't know if this has been posted before but ...

"The LA Times magazine does this great feature every month, where they collect 50 of something (anything, really) to show just how beautiful and diverse a collection can be. They've done soda bottles, Tokyo Taxi tops and guitars. One of the latest however, is probably the most interesting yet—cigar bands. "Walk down memory lane with these vibrant, evocative relics of pre-Castro Cuba, from the personal collection of Angelenos who traveled there."

Very Cool Indeed. I'd imagine those were made specifically for the executives of those companies
vs. used as advertising, but i remember reading an article recently where they said that
companies used to give cigars away to men to build brand awareness, so maybe you're right.
