  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Coleman 70-Quart Xtreme Cooler (Blue)

List Price: $89.99 Price: $35.54 & this item ships for FREE with Super Saver Shipping.

**Sorry wrong category, can a mod move this to Storage
I used this exact model before I got my vino. If I didn't keep my dumbbells and back pack on it, it wouldn't keep a consistent RH. IMHO, if you want to do a coolidor... I suggest using something else.

Great deal if you just need a cooler though!

Thanks for the info.. I bought a Coleman from Target a while back, not sure exact model, but same deal. The thing could not hold temp or humidity without weight on top. Gotta do your research!

well for 15 more dollars you can get a coleman 120qt that holds Rh
just fine at walmart w/ "no shipping" (provided you have a local walmart
to pick it up from!)

Hello Gentlemen,
What coolers are you guys finding that are capable of holding a steady RH? I was going to pull the trigger on a coleman 70 quart extreme until I saw these last postings. I prefer to be in the 70-75 quart size.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Curtiss

Great cooler. I have three of them in the 70 QT
Bought the last one from Walmart online a few weeks back.
Free shipping to boot. $34.95
I use 2 four ounce tubes of 65% beads and they hold rock solid.
I believe the "extreme" is a 70Qt cooler.
I used to use the 150QT marine. worked very well, just to big & bulky for me.

As far as temp - I have mine in a climate controlled smoke room. I can control the temp year round with in 2 degrees. As far as Rh goes, I have had no problems at all with that cooler.
If I had, I would not have purchased a second & third unit.

Hello La Chupacabra,
Yes, it would seem that if they were designed to hold things cold/ice for 5 days (referring to the 70 qt. extreme), it would seem that the seal should be good enough to keep the RH constant enough. I would be keeping my in my basement, which should be fairly constant as well.
Thank you for your input,
Curtiss
