80% lowers

I have gotten into building ar15/ar10 from 80% lowers. You need a few tools to get into it but the advantage comes from the ability to order an incomplete lower that does not go through an ffl.
Anybody else doing this?

The trigger pocket needs to be machined out. Also selector switch, bolt catch and trigger pin ( I think)

This is my first build using an 80% lower. I still need a bolt carrier group and charging handle.

The gen II jig from 80% lowers. The advantage of this jig is you can do 5.56 or 7.62 or ar9 all from the same jig.
You can do 300 blackout also because it uses the ar15 lower.

I love them. 80%Arms is my go to outfitter for such tasks. These are just plain fun to do. Time consuming and meticulous at times, yes, but you really are building your own AR. This was my first one (raw aluminum test dummy lol)sorry for low res, I had to pull it from sent messages and others are at undisclosed WSHTF locations
