Well, this is my first attempt to review a cigar. I had not planned on ever doing a review, but after smoking this cigar I could not resist.
Appearance
I did not see any veins in the wrapper and it appeared well constructed and tightly wrapped. I felt no hard spots and it had a nice springy feel to it.
Prelight Draw
The cap released a nice cut and my first draw came with a distinct taste of coco with an even yet firm draw. My hopes were high as I prepared to light this cigar.
The Smoke
My first taste was chocolate with a nice subtle taste of smooth tobacco. Those flavors lasted through the first third. I didn't notice any of the acidic taste I have on other Fuentes I have tried.
In the second third, I started to get some earthy flavors I can best describe as a light allspice flavor with a secondary taste of leather. These were just nice smooth flavors that just kept me puffing away.
The final third came in with hints of vanilla and coco with an understated sweetness that I would compare to honey.
My Impression
My overall impression of this cigar was wonderful. I did not want this cigar to end; I just seemed to keep discovering new flavors. The cigar lit nicely and maintained an even burn throughout, but I did have to relight the cigar one time. The Gran Reserve produced large amounts of pleasant smoke that gave off a wonderful aroma, which my wife enjoyed.
I will be adding more of these to my small yet growing collection.

Thanks for reading my review. As a new cigar smoker and this being my first attempt at a review any input to help me improve would be appreciated.
