So after a long night of over-indulgance I barely made my 1 o'clock tee time today. My warm up session on the range was terrible, and I felt it was going to be a bad day on the golf course. I played the first 7 holes at 4 over par, then the wheels fell off on the 8th hole with a triple bogey and on the ninth hole I had a double bogey. So I shot a 45 on the front nine and was hoping to break 90 for the day, then came the 10th hole. I hit one of my best drives about 270 yards in to the wind in the middle of the fairway. The wind was in my face so I decided to hit a little knock-down pitching wedge from 100 yards. So I hit the shot and it was dead at the flag and I knew it would be close, then it drops about 6 feet passed the flag and starts drawing back, at this point my buddy starts hollering "get in the hole", and wouldn't you know....the thing trickles down and drops in for an eagle, thus ensued a plethora of fist pumps and high fives. I had a hole in one about 10 years ago that I still remember like it was yesterday and now have this shot too. I ended up shooting a 37 on the back nine for an 82 today, but that one shot will keep me coming back for a long time.
