  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I am starting to notice that just about everytime I have a cigar I usually have a few drinks, I guess that isn't much of a concern but on the nights I have 2-3 cigars I usually end up pretty 'faced by the end of the night. Something to me just seems to like pairing a cigar with a few cocktails. I am sure I am not alone in this but it seems I am doing it with a lot more regularity nowadays. Anyone else notice the libations flow a lot easier when smoking a cigar??

I notice I can taste more of the subtle notes of the cigar when I pair it up with the proper drink. So, I only do it to enhance my experience. That's my story and I am sticking to it.

I've always enjoyed a good smoke with a good drink, provided they are accompanied with some good company. I'll still have a bevvy with a smoke when I'm alone, but don't end up 'faced usually.

I'm right there with ya though, Craig. A good drink with a good smoke bro.

I'm just starting to pair drinks with cigars. I still don't have the hang of it. I think I need to broaden my booze-drinking repertoire.

Larry!! I had that EXACT COMBO last weekend minus the stuffed animal.

EDIT - Wasn't the single malt Saranac - it was the Black Forest. My bad.
You ever watch the show Three Sheets with Zane Lamprey?

That's Pleepleus, a stuffed toy monkey that Zane takes along with him on his travels, so he never has to drink along. I picked one up so I never have to smoke and drink alone either!

Man I am learning so much from you tonight. What a great idea but I have a feeling between the BCGs and a stuffed monkey while drinking along the water I would have a really hard time picking up a women. I guess I will have to try it and see.

Well hopefully the NEX sells stuffed Monkeys then. I guess I will find out when they open tomorrow and if it doesn't work I can always give it away as a Christmas gift.

Three Sheets is the BEST DAMN show out there. Been watching it for the past 2 years and have learned quite a bit about booze.

It's worth pulling up a couple of shows on hulu and watch it on the laptop next time y'all are out in the garage for a smoke.
