About a month ago tubaman send me three sweet CC's and I knew one of them was going to be my farewell smoke when my wife's Dad passed. I snuck away today between the afternoon and evening services, went home and sat alone with a tasty looking Cohiba Coronas Especiales. I clipped it and I knew immediately that I had my hands full when I attempted the pre-draw.
It was plugged! I could feel the spot about an inch from the shoulder so I tried in vain to open it with a toothpick, then a thin skewer. The draw improved so I lit it and cursed myself because it needed more. I was NOT going to give up on this prize! Immediately Wade and his use of power tools came to mind so I fired up my DeWalt 18 volt and drilled a 1/16" hole down the center. Still no good. I gradually increased the bit size until the 1/8" bit did the trick!!
I just have to say that the taste was amazing, not at all what I expected (always heard about how CC's taste like manure or dead grass). The whole experience was somewhat ironic in that my father in law always commented that we best enjoy the things we work the hardest for. Well I enjoyed the hell out of that cigar!
Thank you Kevin.
