  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Hi all,
I go by the name Balibob and I am happy to be joining up with BOTL here today. I am the maker of Tambo Premium Cigars here in Indonesia. Hope to exchange lots of smoking tall tales and even a bit of truth once in awhile with all the member of this community. Thanks to Ron (Shuckins) for turning me on to BOTL and I hope I can answer any questions that anyone might have about cigar making here in Indonesia. We have caused a bit of a stir on some of the other forums after sending out some of our Tambo Cigars for reviews and I would be happy to stir up the same kind of trouble here...You listen'in Ron?? We also make a very unique pipe tobacco that is aged for 5 years in tiny remote villages on a most exotic island. I dared to mention it a couple weeks ago in front of Ron and since then we have shipped almost 40pounds of it out on a group buy, thanks to him.

So thanks for letting me join your discussions and let me know any questions you have. Smoke on, Balibob
PS. Because I am a newbie I won't be able to pm you for awhile but our buddy shuckin knows how to nudge me whenever necessary...BB

Thanks for another great review. Dang how much snow is there still in TN?
Hi Gokian,
Couldn't help but notice your Trinidad Avatar. One of my favorite smokes from that C word place to the south. Imagine that stick made in exotic Indonesia with a 5 year village aged filler and you have a Tambo Super Robusto. I know because the Trinidad Robusto Extra was and is my idea of an ideal cigar as we worked to create our Super Robusto. They even share the pigtail finish... Smoke on, Balibob

Tambo Jambo Mon!
nice lookin smoke with the swahili'esque name to boot :glassesgr
Hi D,
Most astute geographical observation, however in our case the name Tambo grew from the village of Tambolaka, the entry point to the exotic Indonesian island of Sumba. On this lovely limestone island we grow and age our exclusive 5 year village aged tobaccos. Thought you might enjoy a quick view from the other side of the globe, but will have to wait until I get 5 posts under my belt... Smoke on, Balibob

I finally had one of these thanks to Fauzi.. got some leather and spice off it accompanied by an aftertaste which to me felt like musky aniseed. It seemed to coat my mouth with this particular flavor from the first puff and it stayed pretty much throughout the smoke. Quite a strange taste but a pleasant smoke.

Hi from Bali,
Willing to start some tastings right here if someone wants to ship on. I am happy to send a box of 25 robustos over but someone would have to send them on to testers who are willing to review here on botl.org. I am the new kid so just let me know how to do it properly in this community...Balibob

Hi Ron,
Be sure and pm me where you want to take the review thread about samples and reviews and I will post there. You know if I make an offer I stand by it. New to BOTL.org so don't want to offend anyone by posting in wrong place. I have also been posting to another thread on BOTL that asked about my pipe so may have some interest in some pipe tobacco sticks soon. You know how crazy them pipe smokers can get when they sniff a powerful new tobacco! Really apreciate all your help and guidance and I am sure all appreciate what a supporter of all BOTL you are... smoke on, Balibob
