  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

A very unique but good beer

It's called Hot Chocolate. It'w brewed by Viking brewery in Dallas, WI. It's a porter that is brewed with cocoa powder and cayenne pepper. It has a thick with a silky feel to it. Starts with a porter taste but the sweetness from the cocoa powder comes quickly. After swallowing you feel a bit of warmth in the back of your throat from the cayenne pepper.

It's a good beer during the cold months of winter.

Rogue brewing company has a beer brewed with cayenne pepper. I hated it, which was a surprise I usually love there stuff.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll have to get one of my WI friends to get me a couple of bottles!!
You should also try and get some Central Waters Peruvian Morning. It's a once a year release. It's an Imperial Stout brewed with Emmy J's coffee and aged in an oak cask. It's very complex and smooth.

Along those lines....Black Dog Coffee was recently used by Flying Dog Brewery to flavor a batch of Wild Dog Imperial Stout. This first run was small and all went into kegs. They'll be distributed to bars in Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore and New York and may also be submitted to a competition. If it's well received the next, larger, run will be bottled as well as kegged.
Pretty cool! :)

Very cool! I hope it catches on. I'd love to try that out in a bottle.

No coca leaves in the brew? That would make it a Peruvian morning.
