  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I'm new to cigar smoking so I'm not going to do a real review except to say this cigar knocked my socks off. What do others think of this cigar, cause I think it's a great smoke. Lasts a good 1+, even burn, flavorful - thick creamy chocolate spice. wow. I ran right back to the B&M and got a couple more, never done that with a cigar before.

Glad to see you enjoy the WOAM; knocked your socks off because of strength or a price? Light weight ey? I am not a big fan of maduro cigars; why? Not really into baked tobacco. If you enjoyed that so much, you try getting your hands on the hemmingway masterpiece maduro.

Flavor, that's pretty much what does it for me. But yes, I like more medium body cigars. Thanks for the recommend, that's exactly why I posted this. :D

WOA and WOAM are great sticks especially with age. The sugar curing process on the WOAM is what makes it unique. They are both good change of pace smokes

I love these little guys, great hour smoke for sure. A lot of chocolate from the beginning that's builds to more of a expresso/mocha towards the end, gotta' love 'em.

I just had my first of these this week too (it's been a great week, lol).

Like the Opus, the WOAM had a long, evolving finish between puffs. I think your description is right on. Very nice, and spicier than I expected compared with the Hem. Classic maduro.

As far as recommendations, if you're diggin the spice + chocolate thing, I personally like:

Liga Privada No. 9
Padron '64
El Triunfador
Perdomo Reserve Maduro (old blend)
Perdomo ESV '91 Maduro
CAO MX2
CAO Brazilia

My list of cigars to look for at the AF store in Vegas keeps growing. I really hope they only have like one of the cigars on my list or I may need to get a night gig at a local chip and dales so I can get back to base.

......good smokes, if your budget conscious and with availability issues of the hemi maduros; then the el triunfador and the padron 4000 or 5000 are a good choice for this flavor profile.

I've never heard of these before...have to see if my local has it. Another great cigar for beginers is the "Occidental Reserve". Give that one a try!
