  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Price: $5.25

Saw this on the shelves of the local not long after the CA list came out. I was initially drawn to it not due to the garish "Top 25" sign next to it, but its size. Seems I'm constantly on the lookout for smaller sized cigars. I decided to continue my weekend of cigars earlier today with this little fella...

Mistake. While the draw was great and there was a boquet of lovely spice flavors (cooking spices, not the hot kind). The cigar had a God aweful rotten egg mixed with charred toast finish that lingered. I couldn't stomach more than an inch and set it down. White I'm normally of the opinion that one shouldn't judge a blend by one cigar, it's going to be hard to give this one a second try what with all the tasty cigars I have sitting in the humidor at the moment. I ended up going back in and grabbing an Undercrown Corona Viva to get that aftertaste out of my mouth...bleh!

My experiences with the Boutique Blends/Swag/Aging Room stuff has been mixed. Didn't really care for the Swag I smoked but absolutely loved the Havao Connecticut. Seriously killer for a 5 dollar smoke IMO.

What a bummer. I once had an Onyx Reserve that tasted sorta like gasoline. But nothing is as putrid as rotten egg

I had sort of the same experience with the Aging Room F55, it's a beauty cigar, but whatever was going on with it I didn't like at all and I had to let it go within the first third. It was more an acrid harshness rather than a rottenness, I'm hoping that ignoring them for a real long time improves the 4 pack I have left.
