  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

wrap: Honduran
Binder: Honduran/Indonesian
Filler: Nicaraguan/Honduran
Vitola: Corona 5.5" x 42
been in my humi about 6 Months
Beverage: cup of ice water
Smoke time: 1hr 10min

pre-light: has a nice toothy wrapper and aroma of sweet tobacco. use a V-cut the draw is on the loose side and get more of the sweet tobacco with a hint of earthiness on the pre draw.

1st 3rd: Right of the bat you get that sweet tobacco tatse with just a hint of white pepper. giving off plenty of nice smooth smoke. as i got into it started to get subtle hints of a leathery earthyness. The earthyness and pepper keep trading off. some draws pepper some that leather and earth. Think I hope this is like the overture showing me a peak of what to expect from the rest. ash is white and very tight went about inch and a half before dropping off Say the strength is Medium.

2nd 3rd: Yes the sweet tobacco is still there but the pepper is become more prominent but not overpowering. The hint of leather is gone but the earthyness is still there in the finish. smoke is still smooth but a bit more creamy. as you get to the last third the pepper disapears and the earthyness takes center stage. strenght is a med-full

final 3rd: Yes the sweet tobacco and earthyness are still there. giving off a real nice smooth and creamy smoke. A new flavor is there but this is where my palete fails me. definately a nuttyness but also some sweet there but not from the tobacco. strengh is pretty close to full but not quite there. Upset cause i don't have anything to nub this baby with, nearly burnt my fingers trying to get every possible draw i can.

Final Thoughts: This is not a Powerhouse of a cigar by any means but think it would be perfect for an afternoon drive or out on the golf course. I really enjoyed this cigar, next time i buy going to pick a fiver to put in the humi.
