Alligator Wallet inquiry

Hey, anyone have experience with Alligator skin wallets? I can find them in full gator, or gator outside and Eel skin inside. Wondering how the full gator holds up over time or they went with eel skin for better durability (or is it just cost savings)

I know...random post, but hey we have a varied group of guys here, so who better to ask!

Gator is incredibly durable.

Yeah I'm not sure why some of these wallets have Eel skin internals. Has to be a cost issue. Can't imagine anything being tougher than gator. I'm just starting to check them out. Should have bought one in NO when we were there (year before Katrina hit).
Also, if any of our Southern Brothers have a favorite craftsman, point me their way. I'm sure there are shops all over down there that can do me better than what I find on Amazon.

If it's not posted in that thread, I do not know. I can check when I get home. Otherwise, JRC has very good communication and I'm sure he can give you an idea of what a similar, if not identical, case would cost.
