Almost oktoberfest season!

Well with September pretty much here that means its about time for Oktoberfest beers! This is definitely one of my favorite styles of beer and is all Ill be buying until the season is over. So far ive picked up Great Lakes and Bells Oktoberfests. Im hoping that Left Hand hits stores soon, one of my favorites from last year. Has anyone else started picking up Oktoberfests?

I have had a local brew out of Springfield MO... Mother's Brewing Company. Their Oktoberfest is terrific. And I picked up some Sam Adams Oktoberfest this weekend. It was pretty good.

Ive never loved the Pumpkin Ales ive had. Ill have to try a few more this season and see if I can find one I like.

last year I think I had Harpoon, Sam Adams, Paulaner, Magic Hat, and Left Hand. I want some Bells this year.

So far I have only had Sam Adams and Otter Creeks. Otters is pretty good, Sams is only ok in my opinion but Im not a huge Sam Adams drinker, it has a weird almost chemically taste to me.

Definetly looking forward to Flying Dogs Dogtoberfest and of course Dogfish's Punkin Ale

My girlfriend just came home with a 6 pack of Brooklyns Oktoberfest. Interested to try it but again not too many of Brooklyns brews have impressed me aside from their Monster Ale.

I love Ayinger Oktoberfest beer! If you want a real nice smooth drinking lager Weinstephan Original is quite awesome. I wonder if they make an Oktoberfest?

Oktoberfest used to be my favorite beer. Seasonal or not.

Now I think Ive become such a hop head that the Octobers just dont do it for me the way they used to!

Ive had Sams and Tuckermans this year and the sam was meh and the Tuckermans slightly better.

I got to try some New Glarus, on tap, at a wedding in OshVegas a few months ago. I wanted to bring some home, but by the time we got out of the reception, I had forgotten about the f'n Wisconsin alcohol laws... so, came home empty-handed.
