A guy at work gives me a Gurkha to smoke on the way home today, it's a 20 minute ride so I light it up and it's not terrible so I decide to finish it at home after almost hitting a guard rail trying to blow smoke rings (another story, sorry). What kind of Gurkha is a mystery to me considering they produce a gajillion different kinds but I can tell you it was a toro, probably Connecticut wrapper with an orange colored band.
It was very sweet almost artificially so and when I examined the ash I noticed that the edge where the binder and wrapper burned appeared normal in color but the center had amber/brown patches. What gives with this? Any ideas?
